Shell made a big statement today about how it's immoral to use food products to create biofuels while people in the world are starving. My question to Shell is, are you going to deliver that food to the starving people? It's not like we can't grow enough food, we're just not because there's no way to get it there.
Also, wouldn't the use of food crops in biofuels increase their profitability and therefore give more farmers work whereas now they're being paid by the government to not farm all of their land?
This was my lunch. I forgot the mustard, and I would have gladly traded it for a couple gallons of ethanol.
